University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Virtual (Online) Classes / Classroom and Students Email Activation Procedures and Guidelines for 2019/2020 Academic Session.

Following the announcement of resumption date virtually (online) for all students, the management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has released the guidelines for virtual (online) classes and students email activation for the completion of 2019/2020 academic session.


Latest Update: This is to inform all students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) that online lectures have commenced today, Monday, 11th January, as scheduled.

Students are therefore enjoined to disregard misinformation currently trending on social media that the arrangement had been put off.

The management wishes to assure all our students that we are fully committed to covering all lost grounds as a result of the long break occasioned by COVID-19.

Also, all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure hitch-free online classes pending the time when it will be safe to conduct normal physical lectures.

A. UNILORIN Virtual Classroom Sign up on Microsoft (Microsoft Team) Step-by-Step Procedures

  • Go to products.office.com/microsoft-teams, and select Sign up for free.
  • Type in your Institutional email and select Next.(Please note Institutional email account e.g adeolabk@students.unilorin.edu.ng
  • Choose an option and select Next.
  • Enter your password and select Sign in.
  • Add the final details and select Set up Teams.
  • Choose how to open and use Teams:
  • Download the Windows app (Desktop or Mobile)

B. UNILORIN Student Email Activation Procedure

1). Click on ‘Login – Student Here’ link on the Google Apps for Education Icon on the left side corner of the University of Ilorin website ( i.e. https://www.google.com/a/students.unilorin.edu.ng/servicelogin)
2). Username: as provided by student and the Unilorin students domain name e. g. Unsername@unilorin.edu.ng
OR check your Personal Details on your portal to copy your students mail.
3). Default Password (a.k.a. initial Password) for newly created student email: stdunilorin$2017
stdunilorin$ plus your year of Admission is your password.
4). Accept the End User License Agreement (EULA), and click on Continue
5). Change your password ( 8 alpha-numeric characters minimum )
Students with complaint should click on the ‘Unilorin Google Apps Self Help Portal, or send your complaint for support to helpdesk.comsit@unilorin.edu.ng.
