This is to inform all candidates that the Kwara State Government has announced the the cut-off marks, oral interview and certificate screening of candidates exercise dates, time and veneue for those who wrote the Kwara State SUBEB Teachers’ Recruitment Examination in the state.

Kwara State SUBEB Teachers Recruitment Cut-Off Marks, Oral Interview & Certificates Screening Dates, Time & Venue 2020/2021
A. KWARA STATE SUBEB TEACHERS RECRUITMENT CUT-OFF MARKS 2020/2021:
- The cutoff for SUBEB is 50% across the 16 local government areas except (applicants from) Baruten, Edu, Kaiama, and Patigi whose pass mark is pegged at 40%. All Kwara State SUBEB applicants who attained the 40% and 50% cut-off marks respectively are to proceed to the second phase of the recruitment exercise which is the oral interview and the results verification stage.
- Candidates posted from Baruten, Edu, Kaiama, and Patigi who attained the 40% cut-off mark in this is also eligible / qualified for the oral interview and certificate screening exercise (2nd phase). screened for interview.
- Kwara State SUBEB Cut-Off Marks for Non-Kwara Applicants is 60%.
NB: These cutoffs are a product of thorough deliberations by various education stakeholders, predicated on the number of applicants, their performances in the CBT (examination), as well as considerations for disadvantaged areas of the state without necessarily jettisoning acceptable degree of competence,” the statement said.
Out of the 40,652 that sat the examination across the 16 CBT centres, only 9,991 applicants hit the cutoffs and have therefore qualified for results verification stage of the exercise for the two categories.
The figures include 5,116 (SUBEB applicants) and 4,875 (TESCOM applicants) respectively.
B. KWARA STATE SUBEB ORAL INTERVIEW & SCREENING OF CERTIFICATES DATES, TIME & VENUE 2020/2021
All candidates who attained the required cut-off mark for the Kwara State SUBEB Teachers Recruitment are hereby invited for an interview exercise scheduled to hold as follows:
Oral interview and screening of certificates shall be conducted for only candidates who successfully passed the qualifying examinations and attained the required cut-off marks from 15th March, 2021 to 20th March, 2021 by 9:00am daily.
(Candidates are to come with their acknowledgement slips printed online and original and photocopies of their certificates.).
NB: successful candidates have been notified through SMS for each stage of the recruitment process.

The interview for the 9,991 applicants who met the cutoff for the ongoing SUBEB/TESCOM teaching jobs will begin on March 15, 2021, with affected candidates expected to bring the original copies of their certificates for sighting and on-the-spot online verification.
“All applicants are also required to bring scratch cards for WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or any secondary school leaving certificates they may have presented for the exercise. This is to allow panelists/representatives of the various examination bodies to fact-check their (applicants') school leaving certificates. The applicants will have their O level results verified online as they appear for interview,” according to a statement.
“Only applicants with valid secondary school leaving certificates will proceed to the next stage of the screening/interview.”
Scheduled to begin 9.a.m. daily, the interview for the SUBEB category will come first. Applicants are to check their portals from Sunday March 7 for their venue and to print their notification slips embossed with their passport photographs.
Applicants from Kaiama, Asa, Baruten, Edu and Patigi are scheduled for March 15 in Ilorin, the statement said.
Applicants from Ilorin South, Isin, Oke Ero and Ekiti are to make appearances on Tuesday March 16.
Wednesday March 17 is scheduled for applicants from Offa, Oyun, and Irepodun; while those from Ifelodun, Moro, and Ilorin East will be screened on Thursday March 18.
Those from Ilorin West are scheduled for Friday March 19; while non-Kwara applicants will be screened alongside with spillovers from Ilorin West on Saturday March 20.
The interview and screenings of results for TESCOM applicants will hold from Monday March 22 in Ilorin in the same order as above, according to the statement.
