The Federal Polytechnic, Ukana in Essien Udim Udim Local Government Area has announced the sale of admission forms for its National Diploma (ND) programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Admission Requirements

  • Candidates must have atleast 5 credit level passes in SSCE, (NECO, WAEC) or GCE
  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 100 in the 2022/2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME)
  • Admission requirement for the ND Computer Science programme includes; Five credit level passes in the SSCE, NECO, and GCE O’Level or its equivalent.
  • Candidates applying for the National Diploma in Statistics must possess Five credit passes in the SSCE, NECO, GCE O Level or its equivalent in Mathematics and English Language and any other three of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Agricultural Science, Geography and Biology.

      1.       ND Accountancy Five `O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce/Principles of Accounts/Financial Accounting/Book Keeping/Civic Education, and any two (2) of the following subjects:  Literature in English, Geography, Government/History and Biology/Agricultural Science
    2.     ND Business Administration and Management Five `O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any two (2) of the following subjects: Principles of Account/Book Keeping/Business Method/Marketing, Literature in English/Geography, Government/History/CRS/Statistics and Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Agricultural Science
  • SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
  S/N   PROGRAMMES   ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS  
      1.       ND Civil Engineering Technology Five `O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) of the following subjects: Biology/Agricultural Science, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Technical Drawings, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Wood Work, Further Mathematics, Geography and Economics/Commerce.
      2.     ND Computer  Engineering Technology Five `O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) of the following subjects: Biology/Agricultural Science, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Wood Work, Further Mathematics, Geography and Economics/Commerce.

    2.     ND Science Laboratory Technology Five `O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) of the following subjects: Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science/Animal Husbandry.
      3.       ND Statistics Five `O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) of the following subjects: Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics, Geography and Biology/Agricultural Science


Method of Application

Candidates are to pay the sum of (#2,000) for screening. All payments should be done at the Bursary Department of the polytechnic.


Screening Schedule

  • The screening exercise schedule will hold on a date to be announced soon by 10am, at the GNS Hall, Annex Campus.
  • Candidates are to come along with original and photocopies of credentials and a recent passport photograph.
