JAMB Postpones 2021 UTME & DE Registration Deadline

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Postpones 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and Direct Entry Registration Deadline Over National Identification Number (NIN) Challenge Affecting UTME & DE Registration to 29th May, 2021.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the postponement of the 2021 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise earlier scheduled to end on 15th May, 2021 to 29th May, 2021.

The postponement was necessary due to the failure or inability of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to integrate the National Identification Number (NIN) on their database to ensure a smooth registration exercise.

The registration for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) earlier scheduled to end today, 15th May, 2021 has been postponed to 29th May, 2021. This is a 2 weeks shift from the initial deadline. This was contained in a statement by JAMB's Head of Media and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin.

He stated that the development was caused by some unforeseen circumstances occasioned by the board's determined effort to have a NIN integration. He attributed this to the difficulties being experienced by the candidates in their efforts to register.

Candidates who are yet to obtain their e-pin and profile codes are to proceed to do so as the deadline has been extended by 2 weeks (29th May, 2021).
