This is to inform the general public, interested and eligible candidate that the sale of membership form has commenced for year 2023 special intake. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT FOR FORM WILL BE OFFLINE.

Registration commences from 10th May, 2023 to 20th July 2023.

Interested applicants are to fill, submit and pay for registration on the recruitment portal

Applicants can also visit the Nigeria Legion Lagos State Command Headquarters, or the nearest Area Council Chapter of Nigerian legion for assistance in registration and payment for the application form on the portal.

Welcome to Nigerian Legion Lagos State Command registration portal for year 2021 Special Intake Recruitment Exercise. This recruitment exercise is for membership of the Corps of Commissionaire.

Kindly read, understand and accept the terms of membership before you proceed to submit application.
This recruitment exercise is not for engagment into any Armed Forces or para-military Agency of the Government.

It is strictly a voluntary application for membership of the Corps of Commissionaire, a security organization established by the Nigerian Legion by the provision of the Legion Act. You may want to seek more clarification before applying!

The recruitment exercise is for able-body young men and women who are interested in joining the corps of Commissionaire. The corps of Commissionaire is the operational unit of the Legion, comprising members who are not retired ex-servicemen, nor served in the military, but accepts the policies and objectives of the Nigerian Legion, and wish to be a member of the organization. Membership is open to any Nigerian citizens, who is not an ex-convict nor has criminal record. Applicant will be considered for membership upon meeting the requirements for membership and payment of membership fee. Applicant will undergo 3 months intensive training in para-military duties; and upon successful graduation from training, will be admitted into the Corps of Commissionaire. Applicants may also be deployed for security duties and other employment activites that the Nigerian legion is engaged in.


  • Applicant must be Nigerian citizens by birth, and resident in Lagos State or neighbouring State.
  • Applicant must be medically, physically and psychologically fit for the training exercise.
  • Applicant must not have any record of criminal conviction by the court of law
  • Applicant must be between the age of 18-35 years except those applying for Honorary Membership.
  • Applicant are to purchase their training kits - White Short, White Vest, White Tennis and White Socks prior to commencement of training.
  • Applicant will be expected to purchase their uniform and kits by themselves after graduation from training.
  • Applicant should have basic education qualification, and must be able to read and write. 
  • Applicant must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and must not be less than 5.6ft  tall for the Male and 5.4ft for Female Applicants. 
  • Female Applicants must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment.
  • All Applicants must provide suitable Guarantors and must be certified by the Nigerian Police of not having any criminal record. 
  • Applicant must be a Nigerian Citizen and possess valid means of Identification and NIN.
