Breaking News: University of Uyo (UNIUYO) Loses Accreditation for Medicine & Surgery and Civil Engineering Following Assessment from Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and Other Standard Regulatory Bodies.
Following its failure to meet standards set by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), the University of Uyo has reportedly lost accreditation for Medicine and Surgery.
Some of the requirements listed in the MDCN Red Book are as follows:
- * Not more than two students should share a room for health reasons.
- * There should be provision of transport to convey the students to their Primary Health Care and other postings.
- * Sporting and recreational facilities should be provided for the students. Active social life should be encouraged through provision of appropriate facilities.
- * The halls should have audiovisual facilities.
- * All medical students should be accommodated in the University hostel
In same vein University of Uyo has lost accreditation for Civil Engineering, following a recent assessment by the standard regulatory bodies.
Candidates are advised to change to new courses via JAMB (Change of Course Form), to avoid stories that touch the heart
