Babcock University Graduates 2,079 Students, 82 Bags 1st Class

Babcock University (BU) Graduates Two Thousand Seventy-Nine (2,079) Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students, Eighty Two (82) Bags First (1st) Class Honours at the 19th Undergraduate (UG) and 10th Postgraduate (PG) Virtual (Online) Convocation Ceremony.

No fewer than 82 first-class graduates emerged at the recently held 19th undergraduate and 10th postgraduate 2nd Virtual Convocation ceremony, of Babcock university, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State on Sunday, June 27, 2021.


The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Ademola Tayo who spoke during the event described the ceremony as a defining moment in the life of the university, adding that the school has adopted a phased resumption to push through the session despite the enormous disruption caused by Covid-19.

A total of 2, 079 graduates comprising 1,660 undergraduates and 419 postgraduate students were said to have convocated in the ceremony, with the Department of Mass Communication producing the overall best undergraduate in the person of Okunola Teslimat Temitayo with a CGPA of 4.91 on a scale of 5.

Olomojobi Femi (PhD) emerged as the overall best postgraduate student in the PhD programme with a CGPA of 4.81 on a scale of 5, while Amarachukwu Peace of Public Health department was overall best Master’s degree graduate with a CGPA of 4.77 on a scale of 5.

Also, Okunola Teslimat Temitayo won the President’s award for the best performance in leadership, academic, community and spiritual services.
