CRUTECH Mop-Up Exam Date & Guidelines 2019/2020

Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Mop-Up Examination Date, Eligibility, Requirements and Guidelines for all Students Affected by 'No School Fees, No Exams'' Policy for 2019/2020 Academic Session.

This is to bring to the notice of the University Community and the general public that the Senate of the Cross River University of Technology in its bid to address the issue of the 'No Fees No Exams policy and its attendant effect on Students, has decided on the following steps to enhance the Students chances of graduating:


1. Mop-up examination should be given to students with evidence of payment of fees from 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 academic sessions Students who owed school fees but wish to take advantage of this opportunity would be accepted only on payment of the complete school fees

2. That there would be one examination per course for all the years involved. Thereafter, the results would be recorded in the appropriate year

3. Students who obeyed Management Policy and did not write 2019/2020 examination but wrote 2018/2019 examination as carryover should not have their results recorded as carryover, but as regular examinations

4. All affected students from the 2014/2015 to 2019/2020 academic sessions are required to write the mop up examination where they had deficiencies at the same time and same date.

5. Students shall pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2.000.00) only per course,

6. The mop-up examination will take place on 27 September, 2021.

7. All students are please enjoined to note as follows;

The University Policy of "No Fee, No Exams still subsists and Management will no longer show this compassion in the future.

Students who fail to utilize this opportunity would have to apply to the Vice Chancellor on or before October 01, 2021 for deferment of their admission, failing which they will forfeit their studentship in the University

Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments should ensure that affected students are notified accordingly.

CRUTECH Requirements/Modalities for Writing the Mop-Up Examinations 2019/2020

The Management of the University of Cross River State at its meeting of Monday, September 08 2021 approved the requirements/modalities for writing the Mop-up Examinations in the University as follows:

The list of all students who are owing school fees from 2014/2015 to 2019/2020 academic sessions shall be displayed in all the Departments immediately.

Only those who have completed the payment of all their fees would be allowed to write the examinations

Those who wrote previous examinations but their scripts were not marked because of the No Fee, No Examinations Policy of the University, but have now paid their fees are qualified to write the mop up examinations

All affected students who should, in addition to being up-to-date in fee payment are to pay the sum of two thousand naira (N2,000.00) only per course for the number of courses outstanding Payment shall be done online. Affected Students are required to log on to www.crutech.edu.ng and select Mop op fees and generate and print Authority to Pay (Payment Invoice) and proceed to any Commercial Bank to pay.

The students who are qualified to write the mop-up examinations as per the guidelines above should thereafter go and register for the courses they are writing in the mop-up examinations in their respective departments at no other cost than what they had already paid in No 4 above

In-view of the time needed to go through the process above, the mop up examinations would start from 27 September, 2021.

Since two semesters are involved, the examinations shall take place as follows:

The 1st Semester mop-up examinations will run from 27th September- 2nd October, 2021

The 2nd Semester mop-up examinations will hold from 4th October - 9th October 2021

Each Department will through the Office of the Head of Department and Time-Table Officer draw up time tables for the First Semester and Second Semester mop up examinations for their courses

The timetable for both examinations will be out not later than 13 September, 2021. This is to enable the students revise properly for the examinations.

The Heads of Departments should ask the immediate last Lecturer who taught the course to examine all the students in that course.

The time table will make provision for all courses in the First and Second Semesters. The examinations should be neatly separated and would not run concurrently as this may adversely affect those who may have need to write examinations in both Semesters.

It is expected that all concerned will take necessary steps to give effect to these directives.
