Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the postgraduate programmes of the Centre for Security and Legal Studies (CSLS), University of Abuja, for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.
GOAL
The Centre for Security and Legal Studies (CSLS) is established by the University of Abuja as a leading institution for the provision of high impact programmes of studies, discussion and research that will birth implementable, sustainable and replicable solutions and ideas to address existing and emerging security issues within appropriate legal frameworks. The Centre is empowered to work in collaboration with national and international bodies and organizations concerned with security and legal (especially relating to human rights) issues for synergy.AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES
The programmes are as follows:Master's Degree
- Masters in Legal Studies (MLS- EXECUTIVE)
- Masters in Human Rights and Social Justice (MHR- EXECUTIVE)
- Masters in Criminology and Security Studies (MSc — EXECUTIVE)
Postgraduate Diploma
- Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights and Social Justice (PGD
- Postgraduate Diploma in Security Studies
- Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Law and Criminology
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicant seeking admission into the masters and postgraduate programmes of the Centre for Security and Legal Studies must fulfill the following entry requirements:Master's Degree
- Candidates into the master's programmes should possess five (5) relevant 0' Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates should also hold a postgraduate diploma or a minimum of Bachelors' degree in related fields (as may be determined by the Centre) from a recognized institution with a grade not below a Second Class Lower (2.2) category and demonstrated desire and ability to excel in the programme.
Postgraduate Diploma Programme
- Candidates into the postgraduate diploma programmes should possess five (5) relevant 0' Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates should also hold a minimum of Bachelor's degree in related fields as may be determined by the Centre from a recognized institution with a grade not below a third class category and demonstrated desire and ability to excel in the program.
DURATION
The Executive Master's degree shall run for minimum period of 18 and maximum of 36 months, while the Postgraduate Diploma programme shall run for a minimum period of 12 calendar months and maximum of 18 calendar months.METHOD OF APPLICATION:

APPLICATION FEE:
Candidates are to pay a non-refundable application fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30, 000) only on the Application Portal for the purchase of the form.DEADLINE:
