Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Has Granted Approval for the Commencement of Nursing and Midwifery Training Program at Aminu Dabo College of Nursing and Midwifery (AD-CONM), Kano.
The approval was contained in the correspondence NMCN/SG/RO/GC/13/Vol.8/58 dated 13th September, 2021 signed by Dr Faruk Umar Abubakar, the Secretary-General/Registrar on behalf of the Council.
The letter stated that the permission was granted "in pursuant to section 14 sub-section (1&2) of Act 143, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004" that allowed for the establishment of the College having satisfied that it had met the requirement set by the laws.
The Registrar congratulated the Proprietor Arc Aminu Dabo and entire management staff of the College for the remarkable achievements and expressed hope that the set quality and standard will be maintained at all times.
It could be recalled that the Secretary-General/ Registrar, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NWCN) Dr Faruk Umar Abubakar had on Friday July 9, 2021 led a 3-member Acceditation Team to the new College in Kano.
The team expressed satisfaction with the arrays of the learning equipment and serene environment provided in the college. "We are highly impressed with the level of preparedness for physical, basic infrastructure and equipment"
They also commended the visionary efforts and courage of Arc Aminu Dabo for the intelligent decision to invest in health education and hoped that the recommendation of the visit would facilitate its sound take-off and be a tremendous benefit to the students and the profession.
Responding, Arc Aminu Dabo expressed gratitude for the Council's visit and assured that the College would continue to follow due procedure, guidelines and requirements to ensure quality training in all facets of the programs in the College.
