The DICT, Lagos State University has enjoined members of the University Community and general public to beware of a fake Facebook account being paraded in the name of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni
Some faceless persons have created the fake Facebook account in the name of Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello.
“The fake account, conspicuously different from the authentic one, has unfortunately enjoyed followership from innocent members of the University community, the general public and other well wishers.
Pictures of Vice Chancellor copied from the internet and other sources have been used to populate the pages with some misleading information used therein.
Prof Ibiyemi I.Olatunji-Bello hereby repudiates the Facebook account, as it does not belong to her. The public and members of the university community are urged to be wary, and see through the intentions of this fakery.
Such pages should be regarded with the contempt they deserve. We encourage members of the public to note that the authentic Facebook account of Prof I.I. Olatunji-Bello is https://www.facebook.com/iolatunjibello
Necessary action as regards this has been taken and positive results are being achieved.
Finally, members of the public are advised to unfollow and unfriend any Facebook account in the name of Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello except the one stated above, which is the authentic account.
Latest Update: The attention of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, has been drawn to the activities of some criminal elements posing as her (Prof. IbiyemiOlatunji-Bello) to scam unsuspecting members of the public in the guise of giving them jobs or admission.
Specifically, the phone numbers, 07010826253 and 07083042572 were unscrupulously registered in the name of the VC, Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and used to swindle members of the public.

The individual (s) also run several fake social media accounts, on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn bearing the name of the Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello and grow the pages by sending friend requests to other social media users. For the avoidance of doubt, any recently opened social media account in her name is fake. You can identify a new social media page by simply scrolling to the bottom of the page's posts to see when the first post on the page was made.
Please note that Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello will never request for money or gift in exchange for jobs or admission or any favour for that matter. Also, she will never book an appointment via social media.
We encourage members of the general public to assist in getting such contacts and accounts blocked by reporting them on the relevant platforms as we work with law enforcement agents to bring the perpetrators of such criminal acts to book.
We also encourage members of the public to assist in ensuring the number is reported as *Identity Thief* on Truecaller. To do this, take the following steps:
1. Open Truecaller
2. Enter Number 07010826253 and save as Identity Thief
3.You can then View the details of the Number by searching or clicking on the icon given for that number.
5. From here you will have the option to block and report.
You are then expected to *Block and Report* by clicking on the Block and Report icon.
The above steps should also be repeated for 07083042572.
