The Meteorological Institute of Science and Technology, Katsina (MIST) invite application from suitably qualified candidates for admission into National Diploma (ND) Meteorology and National Diploma (ND) Climate Change Science for 2021/2022 Academic Session.

The Subjects must include: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other subjects such as: - Geography, Chemistry, (Biology or Agriculture). II. Candidates must register and obtain the minimum pass mark for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). | Four (4) semesters |
2. | National Diploma (ND) Climate Change Students | I. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of five credit passes in SSCE, WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or Equivalent in not more than two sittings. The Subjects must include: English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects from the followings: Physics, Chemistry, Geography, (Biology or Agriculture), Economics, (Government or History or Civic Education). II. Admission will be through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) having met condition (I) above and scored up to the requisite cut-off points. | Four (4) semesters |
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
a. The requirements for admission into the National Diploma (ND) Meteorology Programme are:I. A minimum UTME Score of 120.
II. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE, WEAC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent in not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects must include; English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) other subjects such as; Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, Geography.
b. The requirements for admission into the National Diploma (ND) Climate Change Science Programme are:
I. A minimum of UTME Score of 120.
II. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE, WEAC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent in not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects must include; English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other subjects such as;Physics Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, Geography, Economics, Government/History/Civic Education.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
The applicants should send the scanned copies of their credentials (UTME result slip, O’ level result/certificates and birth certificate/declaration of age) to the [email protected] on or before Monday 8th March, 2021. Also, evidence of payment of verification fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only payable on Remita platform after generating the necessary Code must be attached. ( for payment procedure, go to https://www.nimet.gov.ng/katsina-meteorologicalinstitute/e. Candidates should upload their O’ Level Result on their JAMB Profile.
How to pay the verification fee:
1. Go to www.remita.net
2. Click “Pay FGN’s and State’s TSA”
3. Select Pay Federal Government of Nigeria
4. Type “Nigerian Meteorological Agency” from the “Name of MDA/who do you want to pay” field.
5. Then select “Others” on the Name of Service/Purpose.
6. Put “000” in the GIFMIS Code Column
7. Type Admission Verification Fee and proceed with the rest of the steps in processing FGN TSA collection transactions on the platform.
8. Click Submit to generate the RRR and select a payment option and pay.
