Chrisland University Gets Approval for Law Programme
Chrisland University Abeokuta Gets Approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to Commence Admission into the Faculty of Law (Law Programme).

Chrisland University, Abeokuta has received cheery news as the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Wednesday granted approval to the Institution to commence its Law Programme.


Hints of the NUC approval were conveyed by the Commission's authorities to the University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, who also disclosed the same to top Management echelon of the institution during a meeting.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the approval was based on adequate resources provided by the University, adding that the approval came after the authorities of the NUC undertook a diligent assessment of its facilities and lecturers for the College of Law.

Prof Babalola noted that in pursuit of the expansion of the number of academic programmes currently being run in the University, it becomes vital for the institution to contribute its quota to qualitative training of lawyers in Nigeria.

Going down memory lane, the erudite professor said the NUC approval remains an icing crowning the painstaking efforts of the University over the past four years to actualize its dreams.

Prof. Babalola used the occasion to appreciate the Chancellor of the University, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika, OON, the Board of Trustees, and the Governing Council for their collective efforts in enhancing qualitative education in Nigeria.

The University which started with just two Colleges during its inception in 2015/2016 academic session with College of Arts, Management and Social Sciences, and the College of Natural and Applied Sciences) has grown into three colleges, that of Basic Medical Sciences, as well as the College of Law as the 4th and latest addition.
