KWASU Set to Commence B.Sc Taxation Programme
Kwara State University (KWASU) is Set Commence Admission into the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Taxation Programme.

Arrangements are on top gear for the commencement of Bachelor degree programme in Taxation at Kwara state University.


This is just as the University will be playing host to the 5th International Academic Conference on Taxation tagged “CITN/KWASU 2022" holding from 15th to 18th August, 2022.

This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN while receiving a delegation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) who paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday at the KWASU Business School in Ilorin.

The Professor of Business Law who noted that the KWASU houses a Tax Academy, said the University is ready to start running the career oriented programme.

The Vice Chancellor who reiterated the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, stated that the University runs quite a number of professional certificate programmes, to equip students with relevant skills for future career advancement and opportunities.

The Legal bigwig, however, reinstated readiness of the University to host the CITN conference and pledged support to the institute, just as he expressed optimism that the existing collaboration between the two institutions would be strengthened for mutual benefits.

Earlier in his welcome address the Director of the Institute for Professional and Continuous Education (IPCE), KWASU, Professor Mubaraq Sanni emphasized commitment of the University at promoting professionalism through collaboration with professional bodies.

He commended CITN for its collaborative efforts with educational institutions and forging partnership with KWASU towards breeding professionals and advancement of the tax system in Nigeria.

The Director therefore solicited CITN partnership in the areas of research, community development, entrepreneurship and exchange of human resources.

In his response leader of the delegation, Prof. Godwin Oyedokun, lauded KWASU for being an ambassador of CITN, adding that the objectives of the institute is well integrated in the University.

He assured KWASU of the Institute's support in its quest for excellence in academics and research among others.
