LASU Holds 2022 NYSC  Pre-Mobilization Sensitization for PCM's
Lagos State University (LASU) to Hold 2022 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Pre-Mobilisation Sensitization at LASUCOM, Epe Campuses On 19th & 21st, April, 2022.

Having successfully held the Ojo campus National Youth Service Corps( NYSC) Pre-mobilisation sensitisation programme for two successive days, the Students' Affairs Division, Lagos State University (LASU) is set to hold the LASUCOM and Epe Campuses end of the Programme on Tuesday, 19th and Thursday, 21st April, respectively.

Just before the Easter break, the NYSC officials, from Lagos State Branch, were at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos to sensitise the final year students, who are prospective corps members(PCM).

On Wednesday, 13th April, with students from School of Communication, Faculties of Law, Management Sciences, Art and Science.

On Thursday, 14th April, 2022, it was the turn of School of Transport, Faculties of Education and Social Sciences.

In his opening Remarks, the Acting Dean, Students' Affairs, Dr. Tajudeen Olumoko, urged the participants to get all the information they need on how to register for the youth service and other related matters. He wished them the best of time as the resource persons were carefully picked to suit the occasion.

The Deputy Registrar, Students' Affairs, LASU, mrs Ashiru- Mobolaji, in her welcome remarks, appreciated the NYSC officials for coming around. She thanked the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, Mni for the approval, adding that it was part of her administration's welfare agenda. She advised the participants to listen with rapt attention, as they would benefit from the Sensitization exercise.

The Admission Officer/Principal Assistant Registrar, Admissions, LASU, Mr. Kabiru Okugbesan talked on "Relationship between NYSC and JAMB".

The second presentation was by Assistant Director, Deployment and Relocation, NYSC, Lagos, Mrs Margaret Omaji. She dwelled on "What Next After Mobilisation for NYSC", while her colleague, ICT, Desk Officer, Engr. Olufemi Afe focused on how to register as a "prospective corps member".
The last paper for the Sensitization was delivered by Assistant Chief Executive Officer/ NYSC Data Entry Officer, LASU, Mr. Ismail Bariu. He talked on "Error- free enrollment into the NYSC Mobilization Portal".

The well attended interactive session had the Participants ask questions about the scheme, Jamb, Admissions and how to register for Mobilization.

The Head/ SAR, NYSC Mobilization Unit, Students' Affairs, LASU, Mrs Rukayat Adediran brought the event to a close with the vote of thanks.

Other staff of the Students' Affairs at the programme include SAR/ Head, Students' Disciplinary Unit, Mr. Tajudeen Fashola, SAR/ Head, Students' Welfare Unit, Mr. Popoola, Ibrahim Aroyewun and others.
