MDCN Registration Guidelines for Medical & Dental Graduates
Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) Publishes Guidelines for the Registration Exercise of the November, 2022 Assessment Examination for all Successful Foreign-Trained Medical and Dental Graduates for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

The induction ceremony for foreign-trained medical and dental graduates who passed the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria Assessment Examination held at the Usmanu Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, in November 2022 will hold on a date to be communicated soon.


Expected Inductees are by this publication, requested to immediately commence registration using the information contained in the documents linked below.


Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) Registration Guidelines 2022/2023

  • Step 1: Go to: www.mdcn.gov.ng
  • Step 2: Click on ‘create account’ from the main menu.
  • Step 3: Click the button under ‘Doctor Access’ then click ‘Create new account’ under the login
  • form. or Click ‘Register’ link on top right corner of the page.
  • Step 4: Click the button under ‘New Doctor Account’
  • Step 5 Fill the Registration Form. Folio number can be obtained from the assigned folio number document attached as link.
  • Step 6: Click the “Create Account” button. After successful account creation, you will receive a ‘signup email’ containing login details that cannot be used successfully until a ‘signup approval’ email is received from the MDCN in about 48 business hours.
  • Step 7: Login at www.portal.mdcn.gov.ng with the received details, update your records and make payments.

NOTE: Foreign trained graduates register under ‘Foreign Provisional Registration’ as sub

Provisional Registration Type
The required payments are:
a. Registration fees - N156,500.00
b. Insurance Indemnity – N15,000.00
c. NMA Building levy – N20,000.00
