2024/2025 Academic Session
First Term
- Commencement Date: Monday, 9th September 2024
- Closing Date: Friday, 13th December 2024
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Holiday Period: Saturday, 14th December 2024 – Sunday, 5th January 2025 (3 weeks)
Second Term
- Commencement Date: Monday, 6th January 2025
- Closing Date: Friday, 4th April 2025
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Holiday Period: Saturday, 5th April 2025 – Sunday, 27th April 2025 (3 weeks)
Third Term
- Commencement Date: Monday, 28th April 2025
- Closing Date: Friday, 25th July 2025
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Holiday Period: Saturday, 26th July 2025 – Sunday, 7th September 2025 (6 weeks)
2025/2026 Academic Session
First Term
- Commencement Date: Monday, 8th September 2025
- Closing Date: Friday, 19th December 2025
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Holiday Period: Saturday, 20th December 2025 – Sunday, 11th January 2026 (3 weeks)
Guidelines for Schools
- The calendar applies to all public and private schools, from pre-basic to post-basic levels, in Benue State.
- Public holidays during the session must be observed by all schools.
- Schools are expected to maximize the term for academic and extracurricular activities.
- Teaching and marking of registers should commence on the first day of resumption.
