Federal University of Technology, Owerri [FUTO] Postgraduate Students Registration Schedule and Guidelines for 2021/2022 Academic Session [Fresh and Returning Students].

The School of Postgraduate Studies, Federal University of Technology, Owerri [FUTO] has released the registration guidelines for all students for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The Postgraduate Registration Process Flow are as follows below:

STEP 1: ADMISSION STATUS

• Kindly visit the School Portal portal.futo.edu.ng
• Drop Down the Postgraduate Menu and then click on Check Admission Status
• Provide your PG Application Number and submit
• Use your Application Number as your username and password to login to your profile
• Fill your PG Bio-data Form and submit successfully to access other drop-down menus.

  

STEP 2: PORTAL ACCOUNT VERIFICATION

• Drop Down the Postgraduate Menu and then click on PG Account Verification
• Then click on “Verify your Account” enter your PG Application Number to generate portal login details.
• Use your Application Number as your username and password to login to your profile
• Fill your PG Bio-data Form and submit successfully to access other dropdown menu.

STEP 2: ACCEPTANCE PAYMENT

After confirming your Admission Status, the student should accept the offer by payment of acceptance fee, as well as complete the following forms online:

• Provisional Offer of Admission Letter
• Official Fee Receipts
• Postgraduate Students Personal Information Form
• Payer Information/Payment Receipts.

STEP 3: DEPARTMENTAL CLEARANCE EXERCISE

1. After successful completion of the above processes, student should proceed to Postgraduate School and meet with the Schedule Officer of his/her Department for Clearance with originals and photocopies of 2 above as well as the following:
   • ‘O’ level Results; 5 Credits (in not more than 2 sittings)
   • First Degree/PGD/M.Sc Certificate
   • NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter
   • Local Government Identification Letter
   • Birth Certificate/or Age Declaration
   • Any other relevant Certificate
2. On successful Verification of Certificates/Results, the Student will proceed with the following to the Department for Final Clearance.
   • 1 copy of Confirmation of Admission Form
   • 2 copies of Letter of Acceptance Forms
3. Return Confirmation of Admission and Acceptance Forms to your Departmental Schedule Officer in Postgraduate School for endorsement by DR/Secretary, Postgraduate School.

STEP 4: SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT

• Drop down the School Fees Menu, click on Pay PG-School Fees and select the required fields.
• New students are required to select (2021/2022) as the current session and year 1 as the level, then submit to generate the school fees invoice.
• Go to the bank and make payment with your PG-School Fees invoice using the RRR (Remitta Retrieval Reference) number on your invoice.
• Visit your Profile Account again, Login with your username and password
• Drop down the School Fees Menu, click on Pay PG-School Fees, then submit to obtain your PG School Fees Receipt.
• Register your courses online.

NB: On Successful completion of 1-4 above, Obtain Registration number and submit to your Departmental Schedule Officer in Postgraduate School along with the following:

• 2 Files
• 2 Passport Photographs
• Downloaded Online Student’s Basic Information Form
• Etc.

Other Information relating to your Studentship will be communicated to you in Postgraduate School.

General Information

• Please note that only successful candidates whose transcripts have been received by the Postgraduate School will be cleared for registration.
• In line with the Federal Government’s directive on social distancing in order to curb the spread of Covid 19 pandemic, prospective students are to comply strictly with the Registration Roster as presented.
• Wearing of face mask to Postgraduate School is compulsory for all visitors.
• Students are also encouraged to have their hand sanitizer on them at all times.
