Access Bank PLC Indicates Interest to Collaborate With Ignatius Ajuru University of Education To Bring Full Robust Banking System to the University Community.
The Access Bank PLC has indicated interest to collaborate with Ignatius Ajuru University of Education to bring full robust banking system to the university community.The Executive Director of Access Bank, Mr. Victor Etuokwu made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit to the Registrar of the university, Mrs. Hope Kue-Ikoro at her office.
Mr. Etuokwu who opined that the bank is one of the top Africa's foremost and leading financial institution with a strong bias for excellence delivery noted that they intend to focus on the future generation whom he described as the future customers.
He also said that they would like to be seen as the bank of choice for the university community as they have various banking products for domestic and international use as well as provide financial support for all.
The Executive Director of Access Bank also informed the Registrar about the intention of training students to be financially disciplined and to help them acquire computers with payment spread across three years.
He stressed that once a good credible banking system is built, the youths would become reasonable entrepreneurs. He hoped that the university would partner with them and for them to manage and bank everyone in the university to achieve a cashless system for all.
Responding, the Registrar, Mrs Hope Kue-Ikoro thanked the bank for the full basket of opportunity and especially for proposing to build up the youths.
She commended the effort and said that the university would support any effort that is geared towards giving the youths an all embracing education.
The Registrar assured that the on going expansion programmes under the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele would extend to the banking industry.
She however stressed that the doors of the university would remain open to them for partnership as long as they establish their presence and meet the conditions.
Also speaking the Bursar, Dr. Davis Ojima noted that the university is a fertile ground for any bank as long as they fulfill their corporate social responsibilities.
