The Federal University Oye-Ekiti [FUOYE] Prohibits Commercial Motorcyclist Activities “Okada” In School Campuses, Introduces Small Buses Known As “Akoto” As Means of Transportation.
The Management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE has ban the activities of the commercial motorcyclist popularly known as "Okada" in school campuses.
This decision was made in-order to introduce the operation of small buses popularly known as “Akoto” to convey
students at a reasonable price within the University Campus – that is
from University Campus to Phase III/Students.
The buses are to operate within the hours of 7am and 7pm daily
Management
also decided that commercial motorcycles popularly known as okada
should henceforth not operate on the University Campus ON NO ACCOUNT
SHOULD COMMERCIAL MOTORCYCLISTS OPERATE WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.
