Lagos State Public Secondary Schools Transfer / Admission Forms Into Junior & Senior Secondary Schools (JSS 2 & SS1), Requirements, Cost of Forms, Admission Screening Dates, Closing Date/Deadline for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
This is to inform the general public that transfer exercise into Public Junior/Senior Secondary Schools (JS II & SS I ONLY) has commenced for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

Students seeking transfer into public secondary schools in the state will undergo a screening test to determine their fitness for the class they apply for in the State owned Secondary Schools.

RECOMMENDED: Lagos State Placement Test Into JSS1 Registration Form 2022/2023.


All interested Students should submit a written application to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education ensuring that applicants into SS I classes attached their BECE Examination Slip/Number correctly written with the 2nd Term Result, while Applicants to JS II should attach their 3rd Term Result.

NB: Application Forms can be obtained and returned to the office of the Tutor- General/Permanent Secretary of the Education District of the proposed school of the applicants for a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000) only, payable to Skye Bank PLC, Alausa, Secretariat Branch, Account No: 4030010449, Agency Code: 4280000 and Revenue Code: 4020034.


Payment and collection of forms will commence on in August, 2022 while submission will close in September, 2022.


1. All pupils in public and private schools must attend the 6th class (Primary 6) and attain the minimum age of 10 years to be qualified to write the examination as the test is compulsory for all Primary 6 students in public and private primary schools in the State whether they intend to attend public secondary schools or not.

2. Applicants for transfer into J.S.S 2 class are to attach 2nd and 3rd term promotion examination results of J.S.S 1 class and those seeking transfer into S.S1 will attach their Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) Number.

3. All applicants are to attach evidence of three years tax payment of their parent or guardian, photocopy of LASRRA Identity Card and receipt to the application form before submitting the forms.


The Screening Test will be conducted in the Six Education Districts on a date to be announced by 9:00 am prompt, Parents of successful applicants will be notified through text messages sent to the phone number supplied.


Since admission is subject to vacancy in the proposed school, applicants are advised to seek clearance at the District Office of their preferred school before paying for the transfer form.

Students and parents are to note that there won’t be transfer into Model Colleges/Upgraded Schools, JSS.3 & SS.2 classes, Inter-State or International Schools.
