Lagos State Public Secondary Schools Transfer / Admission Forms Into Junior & Senior Secondary Schools (JSS 2 & SS1), Requirements, Cost of Forms, Admission Screening Dates, Closing Date/Deadline for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
This is to inform the general public that transfer exercise into Public Junior/Senior Secondary Schools (JS II & SS I ONLY) has commenced for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

Students seeking transfer into public secondary schools in the state will undergo a screening test to determine their fitness for the class they apply for in the State owned Secondary Schools.

RECOMMENDED: Lagos State Placement Test Into JSS1 Registration Form 2022/2023.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Interested applicants are expected to submit application which must include applicant Parents/Guardians Phone Number and other relevant contact details to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education with the under listed requirements:

  • • Applicants for JSII class are expected to attach 2nd & 3rd Term results of JS1
  • • SS.1 applicants are to attach 1st & 2nd Term Results of JS3 and BECE Registration No. or Result.
  • • Each applicant must attach Tax clearance certificate.
  • • Each applicant must attach a clear copy of treasury receipt of payment.
  • • Intra and Inter-District transfer, applicants are to pay N5, 000
  • • Applicants from Private Schools are to pay N5, 000.

APPLICATION COMMENCEMENT DATE / DEADLINE

The Lagos State Ministry of Education wishes to inform the general public that the transfer exercise for Y2022/2023 Academic Session into Junior Secondary School (JSII) and Senior Secondary School (SSI) in Lagos State public secondary schools commenced on Monday 1st, August and will end Monday, 22nd August, 2022.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. All pupils in public and private schools must attend the 6th class (Primary 6) and attain the minimum age of 10 years to be qualified to write the examination as the test is compulsory for all Primary 6 students in public and private primary schools in the State whether they intend to attend public secondary schools or not.

2. Applicants for transfer into J.S.S 2 class are to attach 2nd and 3rd term promotion examination results of J.S.S 1 class and those seeking transfer into S.S1 will attach their Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) Number.

3. All applicants are to attach evidence of three years tax payment of their parent or guardian, photocopy of LASRRA Identity Card and receipt to the application form before submitting the forms.

SCREENING SCHEDULE

The Screening Test will be conducted in the Six Education Districts on a date to be announced by 9:00 am prompt, Parents of successful applicants will be notified through text messages sent to the phone number supplied.

NOTE:

Since admission is subject to vacancy in the proposed school, applicants are advised to seek clearance at the District Office of their preferred school before paying for the transfer form.

Students and parents are to note that there won’t be transfer into Model Colleges/Upgraded Schools, JSS.3 & SS.2 classes, Inter-State or International Schools.
