There
shall be no correction of Date of Birth on Certificate of National
Service (CNS) after the completion of National Service.
Accordingly, you are strongly advised to utilize the link provided on your dashboard for Date of Birth correction during your Online Registration.
Also, note that NYSC will not entertain any request for Date of Birth correction once you have been deployed and commenced your Service year.
All Prospective Corps Members who applied for Name Addition or Removal and got DISSAPROVED are to contact their Student Affairs Officer (SAO).
A message has been sent to their handles online, the SAO is expected to re-upload necessary documents as stipulated.
PCMs should note that the following is not accepted.
i. Total change of names.
ii. Introduction of new name, not in any of your records/documents.
iiI. Abbreviation of Name.
NYSC 2023 Batch 'A' Registration Errors Correction | Stream I, II
This is to inform all 2023 Batch "A" Stream II PCMs are to make use of the links provided for them on their dashboard appropriately during Online Registration.
1. Name Correction
i. Spelling Error
ii. Name Re-arrangement

1. PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR CORRECTION OF NAME
This is to inform 2023 Batch "A" Stream I, II PCMs that you can request for
Correction of Name on your dashboard by clicking on "Apply for Change of
Name" link.
a. Spelling Error
b. Rearrangement
c. Replacement
Kindly note that your Students Affairs Officer, will see the request
for Replacement or Rearrangement of Names, process and forward to
NYSC for further necessary action.
You will not be registered on
camp, if there is disparity in the name uploaded online, that appears on
your dashboard and that of your Statement of Result.
This is necessary to avoid errors on your Certificate of National Service
UPDATE ON NAME CORRECTIONS BY 2023 BATCH 'A' PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS AND CORPS MEMBERS
In view of the high requests for correction of names of Prospective Corps members (PCMs), the NYSC portal has been enabled for all 2023 Batch 'A' Corps members (CMs) and Prospective Corps members (PCMs) to apply for name corrections through their dashboards.
2. All requests must be recommended by the Institution's SAO through their handles on the portal.
3. Furthermore, the following documents must be uploaded by the Institution before the request will be approved and effected:
i) Letter of request from the Institution signed by the Registrar
ii) Page of the Senate/Academic Board approved list where the name appears
iii) JAMB Admission Letter
iv) WAEC Certificate
v) Statement of Result/Degree/HND Certificates
4. Please note this applies to name addition and removal only. Name re-arrangement and spelling mistakes can still be requested directly from the dashboard without involvement of the SAO.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) who are registering for the 2023 Batch 'A' Service Year should note the following:
I. Their names on the portal must be the same as the name on the Statement of Result from their Institution.
II. In order to curb observed sharp practices, the NYSC will no longer allow the addition and removal of names on the online portal. However, name re-arrangement and correction of minor spelling mistakes are still allowed on the NYSC portal during the registration period through PCMs/Corps Members online dashboard.
III. Registration at the Orientation Camps will be denied if the names on the Call-up Letter is different from those on the Statement of Result. Do not bother going to the Orientation Camp if there is a name discrepancy.
IV. If, during registration, you observe that you will need to add or remove any name, you are advised to suspend registration until you resolve the discrepancy issue with your Institution.
V. Note that the names uploaded on nysc portal by the Student Affairs Officer (SAO) emanate from the Senate/Academic Board results from the Institutions. (This above supersedes previous posts on Name Corrections please.
2. PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR CORRECTION OF DATE OF BIRTH
- Login to your dashboard and click on the link to Date of Birth;
- Enter WAEC Verification PIN, select WAEC Type, Year of exam and enter your Examination Number; and
- Click on Verify button
- Click SUBMIT or CANCEL
Prospective Corps Members with disparity on the Course of Study
uploaded online by their Institutions on their Senate List, that appears on the dashboard and
that of the Statement of Result, should apply for Correction of Course
of Study on their dashboard.
You will NOT be allowed to
register in the Orientation Camp, if the Course of Study on your
dashboard is not the same as that of your Statement of Result.
NOTE: This is to inform Corp Members that once you are mobilized, you cannot correct your Date of Birth.

3. PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR CORRECTION OF STUDY
Kindly note that your Institution is to effect the Correction of Course of Study.
- Login to your dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;
- Select Course of Study; and
- Click SUBMIT
NOTE: All PCMs are to contact their Institutions, if they are faced with the following challenges during Online Registration.
1. Wrong or already used Matriculation Number.
2. Invalid or Wrong JAMB Number.
3. No records found on the Senate list on the portal.
PCMs with wrongly uploaded Thumbprint and Passport Photographs
during Online Registration to contact our States Secretariat before the
commencement of the Orientation Exercise.
Married Female PCMs who want to apply for Concessional Posting based on Marital grounds are to upload the following documents;
i. Marriage Certificate
ii. Newspaper change of name
iii. Identity of Husband ( National
ID, International Passport or Driver's Licence )
iv. Evidence of Husband's State of Residence.
v. Letter from Employee/Utility bill.
PCMs
who are in the Medical profession are to come with their licence, those
with expired license are advised to renew their license before going to
camp.
The portal is also open for part-time graduates,
register online so as to be able to print your Exclusion Letter on your
dashboard , when PCMs are enabled to print their Call-up Letters.
Nigerian trained graduates who are exempted from service should make
sure they collect their Exemption Certificate on time. NYSC will only
allow corrections within three (3) months from the date of Online
Registration.
All 2023 Batch "A" Stream II PCMs Prospective Corps Members are hereby informed that Online
Registration commences on Tuesday 11th April, 2023.

DeleteGud Evening Admin, pls 🙏🙏 Sir, upon my NYSC registration, d age on my jamb result is above 30 and my waec result is still eligible for NYSC, and since July i applied for correction through waec verification pin on NYSC portal, they have not respond to my issue, and i went to student affairs Office in my school and d officer said i should complete my registration and allow NYSC to send my exemption letter from there my school will now write to NYSC and send d letter back wit my waec result and verification pin, pls 🙏🙏 Sir my fear now is, if i complete d registration will NYSC still mobilize me through d, letter sent to dem from my school? Pls 🙏🙏 Sir respond to my question Sir?
ReplyDeleteOnce you are above 30 or even 30 you are not eligible to serve. Your school information is right, do as they say and await your exemption letter.
DeleteI also have the issue with error in year of graduation...I have gone to my school to complain, I was told it will reflect but till now nothing and I am suppose to report to camp on Sunday(24th)....you said something about re-upload (how is that )

ReplyDeleteI'm PCM awaiting my call up letter....I apply for correction of name since Tuesday morning 8/3/2022 and on my dash board it kept writing your name correction is being reviewed while my mate that had the same issue their names have been approved....I would like to know if it would be approved before I receive my call up letter ....thank u so much
You have to be patient, review process can only be successful once your institution do the needful. Be rest assured you will be notified if successful or rejected before the call up printing begins.
DeletePlease,I did rearrangement of name without noticing that there is a an error in my surname spelling it was after the name rearrangement was approved that I noticed that. Now all effort to make the correction proves abortive has there is no option again for correction of name on the dashboard. What can I do?
