Following the conclusion of the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination of the Federal Unity Colleges on Saturday 14th June, 2025, the Federal Government through the office of the Ministry of Education disclosed that the number of candidates to be admitted would be based on the carrying capacity which would be handled by the ministry.

Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad disclosed that admission would be based on 60 per cent for merit and 30 per cent for
quota and others. This year over 3,000 admission spaces are available.
The exam, conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO) on June
14, recorded 64,578 registered candidates, with 61,290 sitting and 3,288
absent.
