The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu after the conclusion of the National Common Entrance Examination for admission of candidates into the 110 Federal Government Colleges on Saturday 14th June, 2025 announced the registration statistics.
The Minister while monitoring the conduct of the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination disclosed that over 64,578 candidates registered for the examination. Statistics provided by the board, which gave details on candidates that
sat for the examination, revealed that Lagos had the highest number of
candidates with over 15,000 candidates.
The data released also showed that the number of girls that registered for the examination was 34,000 while a total of 30,000+ male candidates registered for the examination.
The government also disclosed that the carrying capacity of the schools is now up to 30,000 students.
