The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu after the conclusion of the National Common Entrance Examination for admission of candidates into the 110 Federal Government Colleges on Saturday 7th May, 2022 announced the registration statistics.
The Minister while monitoring the conduct of the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination disclosed that over 69,828 candidates registered for the examination. Statistics provided by the board, which gave details on candidates that
sat for the examination, revealed that Lagos had the highest number of
candidates with 19,516 candidates while Kebbi State had the least
registered number of candidates with 74 candidates; 37 males and 37 females. Only 3,000 admission spaces are available.
The data released also showed that the number of girls that registered for the examination was 36,855 while a total of 32,000+ male candidates registered for the examination.
The government also disclosed that the carrying capacity of the schools is now upto 30,000 students.
