NMC Ghana Disclaimer On 'Fake Facebook Pages & Profiles'

Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMCGhana) Disclaimer Notice to the General Public on Some Unscrupulous Facebook Profile Account and Pages Defrauding Nursing and Midwifery Trainees.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council is pleased to announce to its cherished stakeholders that it has taken steps to get its official Facebook page (Facebook.com/Nursing and Midwifery Council) verified.

Clients and Stakeholders are kindly advised to ensure that any information purporting to be emanating from the Council has the blue tick against its Account name and Profile photo.

This is therefore to inform the general public that the Facebook account below with the profile photo and banner photos as shown is a fake account. The said account does not belong to the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The Registrar and Management of the Council wish to state categorically that the Facebook page operating with its logo and the name Nurses and Midwifery Council is not the official Facebook Page of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
 
Investigations have shown that the fraudster(s) behind the fake account is using one of the photos of a Staff at Council to defraud Clients and Stakeholders of their hard earned resources, promising them jobs, PIN renewal and assisting them in passing the licensing examination.

The general public is hereby cautioned not to do any transaction with the fake account as anyone who does so is at his/her own risk.

Members of the public are to note that all announcements and information emanating from the Nursing and Midwifery Council will be published on its website, Facebook page, and other official social media handles.

Anyone contacted by such Facebook or Social Media account soliciting monies on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Council should promptly report to the Police or the Public Affairs

The Nursing and Midwifery Council is also calling for the support of the general public to arrest these fraudsters to help curb the menace of fraud.
