Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) to Host President Muhammadu Buhari at 2nd - 5th Convocation Ceremony Scheduled to Hold on Saturday 15th February, 2020.
Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has concluded arrangements for the successful hosting of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, on SaturdayThe President will be in Lafia for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th combined Convocation Ceremony of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), scheduled to take place on Saturday 15, February, 2020.
The Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman, revealed this to FULafia Bulletin, weekend.
He said that during the occasion, President Buhari is expected to commission a postgraduate research institute at the Permanent Site Campus of FULafia named Muhammadu Buhari Institute for Research and Training (MBIRT).
He added that a day before the president commissions the research institute, specifically on Friday, other projects will be commissioned including lecture halls, sports complex, gate house and a ring road expected to be formally declared open by the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer A. A. Sule, at the Permanent Site Campus.
The commissioning of the road by Governor A. A. Sule will be, swiftly, followed by a special Juma’at prayers on February 14, 2020, at the Mararraban Akunza Roundabout Mosque, by 2:00 p.m., and a pre-convocation lecture to be delivered by an internationally recognised physicist, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo at 3:00 p.m.
