 The Oyo State Government has announced the dates, time and venue of the Computer Based Test (CBT) for teaching applicants in the state (OYO STATE TESCOM  TEACHERS RECRUITMENT. The recruitment exercise has been scheduled to commence from Tuesday 11th August - Friday 21st August, 2020 (10 Days) at the 1500 capacity University of Ibadan distance learning CBT centre. About 91,600 applicants including 417 special candidates(disables) will write the CBT  as those who didn't to rectify issues on their names or those that their names were not shortlisted should forget about the test as nothing can be done anymore. The test will include questions on current affairs for all candidates, the disables are not going to write CBT but “screened/interviewed with auto-employment since the applicants are few in number.”  OYO STATE TESCOM RECRUITMENT CBT invitation will be done via SMS or email, and the examination will run from 7am to 6pm everyday, excluding Sunday. The date has been scheduled by subjects positions, those who have uploaded their documents successfully but did not receive CBT invitation should approach the TESCOM office and not CBT center. The Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission has commenced recruitment of Teaching and Non-teaching staff to fill vacancies in Government Secondary Schools.

Application for the recruitment exercise has been scheduled to run from Tuesday 11th February - Monday 24th, 2020.

Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) is inviting applications from suitable qualified candidates who will fill existing vacancies in the Public Secondary Schools in the disciplines outlined below:

1. English Language
2. Mathematics
3. Agricultural Science
4. Accounting
5. Yoruba Language
6. French
7. Geography
8. Basic Technology
9. History
10. Government
11. Economics
12. Physics
13. Chemistry
14. Biology
15. Computer Science
16. Physical and Health Education
17. Guidance and Counselling
18. CRK/IRS

REQUIRMENTS FOR TEACHING STAFF

Applicants must possess any or a combination of the following qualifications:
a. The National Certificate in Education (NCE)
b. Bachelor of Arts (Education) – B.A (Ed)/ Bachelor of Arts (B.A);
c. Bachelor of Science (Education) – B.Sc. (Ed)/Bachelor of Science (B.Sc);
d. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed); from recognized Institutions.
In addition, they should also possess the following:
a. Primary School Leaving Certificate/Testimonial
b. Senior Secondary School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) credits including English and Mathematics
c. NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
d. Birth Certificate (the National Population Commission) or Affidavit of Declaration of Age
e. Local Government Identification
f. Evidence of Change of Name (if applicable)
Applications are also invited into non-teaching staff positions as outlined below:
a. Day/Night Watchmen
b. Clerical Officers
c. Assistant Executive Officer (General Duties)
d. Assistant Executive Officers (Accounts)
e. Secretaries/ Typists (with basic computer knowledge)

REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-TEACHING STAFF POSITIONS

a. Day/Night Watchmen
– Applicants must be mentally and physically fit with Primary Six School Leaving Certificate
b. Clerical Officers:
– Applicant must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate/General Certificate of Education with five credits (O/L) at one sitting or six credits at two sittings in WAEC, NECO and other relevant examination bodies.
c. Assistant Executive Officers (General Duties)
– Applicant must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (O/L) four (4) credits at one sitting or five (5) credits at two sittings plus National Diploma (OND) in Public Administration and Secretarial Assistant, Basic knowledge of computer skills is an added advantage.
d. Assistant Executive Officers (Accounts)
– Applicant must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (O/L) four (4) credits at one sitting or five (5) credits at two sittings plus National Diploma (OND) in Financial Accounting, Basic knowledge of computer skills is an added advantage.
e. In addition to above, prospective candidates must also possess the following:
– Birth Certificate (the National Population Commission) or sworn Affidavit of Declaration of Age
– Local Government Identification
– Evidence of Change of Name (if applicable).

Thereafter, qualified shortlisted candidates would be invited for CBT test and interview at a date that will be announced later.

Candidates are to please note that the Teaching and Non-Teaching Forms are different.

Those applicants who have collected forms need not download the form online as double entry will automatically be cancelled.
