National Examination Council of Nigeria (NECO) Reveals Plan to Install Special CCTV Camera's at various NECO Examination Centers Nationwide to Curb Examination Malpractice During the 2020 NECO Senior Secondary Schools Certificate Examination (SSCE).
The National Examination Council (NECO) has revealed plans to adopt new measures to check examination malpractices by installing special CCTV cameras in all its examination centres, even as the staff would sign oath of allegiance.The exam body made the revelation while announcing the release of their examinations' timetable on Monday.
The registrar of the council, Professor Godswill Obioma who unveiled the timetable and guidelines for the conduct of the 2020 NECO examinations, said the plan was to install camera in all the examination centres and custodian points for monitoring.
In addition, he said all officials will sign oath of allegiance before taking up any role in the examination while customised answer booklets have also been introduced for the essay components of the examination.
The registrar said the council will explore the possibility of the installation and use of special CCTV cameras in all examinations centres and custodian points.
