UNIZIK Set to Commence Chinese Course Online Due to Coronavirus

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Approves Suspension of the Chinese Course Programme Due to the Outbreak of Coronavirus, Orders Chinese Lecture who Traveled Not to Return and Bars Other Lectures from Visiting China, Set to Commence Chinese Course Online.

The Vice Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Prof Charles Esimone has approved the suspension of the Chinese Course Programme due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor at the 14th Convocation Ceremony Press briefing which was held on Monday 9th March, 2020, according to him the suspension were necessary as the plans are already in progress to run the Chinese Course online.

Students will now recieve their lectures and sits for their examination online just like the approved Distance Learning programme.

UNIZIK Chinese Lecturers who have earlier traveled to China before the sudden outbreak of the virus were warned by the Vice Chancellor not to return at the moment, while lecturers who are still around have been barred from traveling to China.
