FUTO Scam Alert: Beware of Fraudster's Parading as Vice Chancellor

FUTO SCAM ALERT NOTICE: Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Warns all Students and Prospective Candidates to Beware of Fraudsters Parading as Vice Chancellor on Social Media.

It has once again come to the notice of the FUTO Management that a group of miscreants has resorted to making use of the name of the Vice-Chancellor and others in the University authority, to indulge in various illicit acts.

This set of unscrupulous elements has reportedly deployed many avenues through which they cajole the members of the public into believing in things that do not exist.

These faceless worthless individuals have continued to use the numerous fora they belong and other social media platforms to lure the uninformed public into their net, whereby they would demand bribe or gratification from the unsuspecting persons, promising them employment or admission in return.

For the umpteenth time, the Management wishes to use this medium to warn people to steer clear of these fraudsters who do not mean well or any good for them.

Please, be informed that FUTO cannot descend so low to engage any agent or middleman during recruitment or admission process. Hence, the public is strongly advised to directly contact the Office of the Registrar for enquiries concerning recruitment and other related activities.

So, as the University currently requests applications from qualified members of the public towards filling some vacant positions, applicants are enjoined to adhere strictly to the instructions as inscribed in the announcement, rather than seeking for a third party in the process.

The same advice equally goes to those seeking admission into the University. All forms of admission into FUTO are strictly on merit, and can never be compromised for any reason whatsoever.

Do not spend your hard-earned money on things that do not exist. You are, therefore, implored to always do the needful towards averting 'Had I Known'.

Feel free to report any suspect to the apt authorities, as we are decisively warning the culprits to desist from such criminal act for their own good.

To be forewarned, is to be forearmed!
