Edo State Schools Resumption Date 2021/2022 [3rd Term]
Edo State Public and Private Primary and Secondary Schools First (1st), Second [2nd], Third (3rd) Term Resumption Date for 2021/2022 Academic Session.

The Edo State Government has approved the resumption date of primary and secondary schools across the state from Monday 9th May, 2022 for the commencement of third (3rd) term academic activities for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The Edo State Government has said that schools in the state would resume for third term, 2021/2022 academic session on Monday 9th May, 2022.

All parents and guardians to ensure that all relevant learning materials are provided for their children and wards upon resumption.

School Heads/Proprietors are to ensure strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols, which include compulsory use of face mask, use of infrared thermometer, regular hand washing and use of hand sanitizers.

Latest Update: The Edo state government on Wednesday, June 8, during its Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting issued a directive to all state-owned tertiary institutions to resume academic activities and suspend all industrial actions embarked on.

According to the Special Adviser on Media Projects to the Edo State Governor, Crusoe Osagie, all cadre of staff are expected to resume academic and non-academic activities immediately. Students across all state-owned tertiary institutions have also been directed to resume immediately.

The suspended union activities include ASUU, Non-Academic Staff of Universities, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Non-Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, and all allied unions operating across all state-owned tertiary institutions.

The management of the affected institutions has been mandated to pay all outstanding salaries immediately, while the management of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, was directed to implement a no-work-no-pay policy, declare vacant, and advertise the position of any staff that refuses to resume work.
