Oyo TESCOM Recruitment Oral Interview Exercise 2019/2020

Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Oral Interview Exercise for 2019/2020 Session Begins, About Seven Thousand (7,0000) Qualified Applicants to Undergo Interview Exercise from Monday 21st  September, 2020.

The Oyo State Government on Monday 21st September, 2020 commenced the oral interview for about 7,000 applicants who scored 50 per cent and above in the Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted by the state’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).

Chairman of TESCOM, Pastor Akinade Alamu who stated that employment will only be based on merit and competence said that successful candidates will receive employment letters before the end of November.


The State Governor, Seyi Makinde had earlier given approval for the recruitment of seven thousand teachers and about three thousand non-teaching staff before the COVID-19 outbreak.

The CBT was conducted for 67,000 applicants and about 7,000 candidates who scored average and above are been interviewed, including the physically challenged.

Teachers under the Parent Teachers Association (P.T.A) who applied and have been interviewed, will be taken into consideration based on their qualifications and competence.

Interview exercise for the non-teaching applicants will commence immediately after the ongoing interview for teaching staff applicants. About 900 of the non-teaching staff, who have acquired additional qualifications and have applied to be converted to teaching staff, will be recruited along with the new teaching staff.
