FCT Schools Academic Calendar for First (1st), Second (2nd) and Third (3rd) Term Academic Activities in Public and Private [Primary and Secondary Schools] in FCT for 2020/2021 and 2020/2021 Academic Session.

The FCTA Education Secretariat has released the approved 1st, 2nd and 3rd Term Dates/Academic Calendar for Public and Private [Primary and Secondary Schools] 2020/2021 Academic Session.

RECOMMENDED: FCT Schools Resumption Date 2020/2021 | 1st, 2nd & 3rd Term Dates.


I am directed to inform you on the release of the approved 2020/2021 FCT School Calendar after the COVID-19 pandemic as follows:

First Term:

  • Resumption: Monday 12th October, 2020 to Friday 18th October, 2020 (10 Weeks)
  • Holiday: Sunday 19th December, 2020 to Sunday 3rd January, 2021 (2 Weeks)

 

Second Term

  • Resumption: Monday 18th January, 2021 to Wednesday 31st March, 2021 (11 Weeks)
  • Holiday: Sunday 4th April, 2021 to Sunday 24th April, 2021 (3 Weeks)

 

Third Term

  • Resumption: Monday 26th April, 2021 to Friday 23rd July, 2021 (14 Weeks)
  • Holiday: Saturday 25th July, 2021 to Saturday 4th September, 2021 (6 Weeks)

 

NB:

  • All COVID-19 protocols should be properly observed.
  • All National Public holidays are to be observed
  • All boarding schools are to resume on Sunday
  • Any school that has any reason to close earlier or later than the stipulated dates in the school calendar should seek for approval from the educational secretariat through the Department of Quality Assurance (DQA) one month before the desire date.
  • All approved private schools in FCT are to comply with the above.
