The Abia State Government has released the official academic calendar for the 2024/2025 school session for all nursery, primary, and secondary schools.

2024/2025 Academic Session

First Term

• Resumption Date: Monday, 23rd September 2024
• Mid-Term Break: Wednesday, 6th November 2024, to Sunday, 10th November 2024
• Closing Date: Friday, 20th December 2024
• Duration of Term: 13 weeks
• Holiday Period: Saturday, 21st December 2024, to Sunday, 12th January 2025 (23 days)

Second Term

• Resumption Date: Monday, 13th January 2025
• Mid-Term Break: Thursday, 27th February 2025, to Sunday, 2nd March 2025
• Closing Date: Friday, 4th April 2025
• Duration of Term: 12 weeks
• Holiday Period: Saturday, 5th April 2025, to Sunday, 27th April 2025 (23 days)

Third Term

• Resumption Date: Monday, 28th April 2025
• Mid-Term Break: Thursday, 19th June 2025, to Sunday, 22nd June 2025
• Closing Date: Friday, 1st August 2025
