Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Sokoto In Affiliation with Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria Degree (UTME/DE) Admission Form, Requirements, Application Guidelines and Deadline for 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Shehu Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Sokoto Degree programmes in affiliation with ABU and UDUS as approved by the National University Commission (NUC) for 2020/2021 academic session.

Available Courses 

Shehu Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Sokoto is offering seventeen courses in B.ED, B.A ED/ B.Sc. ED Degree Programmes in multiple affiliations with the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Under the UDU Sokoto affiliated programme which commenced in 2000/2001 session, the College runs eleven degree courses.

The course-offering departments are Arabic, English, History, Islamic Studies, Hausa and Primary Education Studies.

Other departments of the College that provide B.Sc.ED degree include Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.

Similarly under the A B U (Zaria) affiliated degree programme, the College offers courses in Agricultural Science Education, Business Education Studies, Home Economics Education, Integrated Science Education, Physical & Health Education and Social Studies Education.

Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements for the Degree Courses

General Information 
i) Admission into the College degree programme is by direct entry only.
ii) Each candidate should indicate in the application form, two different courses of choice in order of preference.
iii) Any candidate who indicates one course as first and second choice limits his/her chance to only that course.
iv) Only the 'O' Level /SSCE results passed at not more than two sittings would be considered.
v) All TC II sittings must be compiled in one statement of result or certificate.
vi) Only the candidate short-listed by the University of their Choice would b communicated to.
vii) Candidates awaiting results need not apply.
viii) Each application must be accompanied with photocopies of the following documents:
a) All academic credentials.
b) Birth Certificate/ Declaration of Age.
c) Letter of state of origin.
d) Satisfactory proof of change of name (if any).

Entry Requirements: 
Applicants with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission by Direct Entry: a) A minimum of five (5) subjects passed at credit level with at least two sittings at the 'A' level and the other at the SSCE/ GCE O/ level. No subject shall be counted at both Ordinary and Advanced levels.
b) A minimum of Lower Credit in the major subjects in the NCE with SSC O/ Level credits and equivalents in THREE other subjects^ Education is accepted as a third 'A'/Level subject.
c) A minimum of 'C' grade at the IJMB examination with three other subjects passed at credit level in SSCE/GCE 'O'Level or equivalent.
d) A minimum of Lower credit pass at Diploma with at least three other credit passes at 'O' Level. Note: Holders of diploma certificate applying for ABU Zaria courses should note that only the diploma awarded by ABU is acceptable for admission

B. After successful payment, an account "user account" is activated for you on the portal. Also keep in mind, your
(i) Login username(Your Transaction ID)
(ii) Login password(Phone No) for correspondence.
Your picture to be uploaded MUST conform with the following:
* Jpeg format ONLY
* Less than 30KB
* Exactly 150px by 150px
* Recent Photograph
* Of good quality
* Of plain white background

C. If you have receive your payment notification, CLICK HERE TO LOG INTO YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION/SCREENING ACCOUNT.

D. Enter your username(Transaction ID) and password(Your registered phone no) to log in.

E. If successful, you will be redirected to a welcome page, click on the appropriate link below the image on the on the left side of the portal page and enter the correct application/screening information. NB: Click on the links to expand the input areas.

F. After making all the relevant entries, click on the submit button to submit your application/screening. Click on the VIEW link to preview your submissions. You can correct any information by clicking on the EDIT link and repeating the process above.

G. If satisfied with you submission, click on the PRINT button and print a copy of the application/screening acknowledgement form and keep for your personal usage.

H. Please note that if your application/screening has been submitted successfully, the RED Indicator/icon in front of the links would turn GREEN. Then proceed to the next step.

I. Also note that you can always come back any number of times to edit, preview or print your application/screening as long as it is within the application/screening time frame.
