The Adamawa State Ministry of Education has released the Public and Private [Primary and Secondary Schools] Official 1st, 2nd and 3rd Term Dates/Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 Academic Session.


According to the Approved 2024/2025 Adamawa State School Term Dates:

  • 1st Term 2024/2025 Resumes on 16th September, 2024
  • 2nd Term 2024/2025 Resumes on 6th January, 2025
  • 3rd Term 2024/2025 Resumes on 5th May, 2025

The Adamawa State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has released the approved school calendar for the 2024/2025 academic session. Below are the details:

First Term (2024/2025)

  • Resumption Date: Monday, 16th September 2024
  • Closing Date: Friday, 13th December 2024
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Mid-Term Break: Thursday, 24th October 2024 – Friday, 25th October 2024 (2 days)
  • Holiday Period: Saturday, 14th December 2024 – Sunday, 5th January 2025 (3 weeks)

Second Term (2024/2025)

  • Resumption Date: Monday, 6th January 2025
  • Closing Date: Friday, 4th April 2025
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Mid-Term Break: Thursday, 13th February 2025 – Friday, 14th February 2025 (2 days)
  • Holiday Period: Saturday, 5th April 2025 – Sunday, 4th May 2025 (4 weeks)

Third Term (2024/2025)

  • Resumption Date: Monday, 5th May 2025
  • Closing Date: Friday, 1st August 2025
  • Duration: 13 weeks

Additional Notes

  1. Observation of Public Holidays: All public holidays will be observed as stipulated.
  2. Compliance by Schools: Principals and head teachers of public and private schools are directed to comply strictly with the calendar.
  3. No Deviation: Schools must not close earlier or resume later than the specified dates, nor extend mid-term breaks beyond the allocated period. Violators will face penalties.
