Shortly after releasing the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) For Private Candidates First (1st) Series January/February Results and the 2022 WAEC GCE Jan/Feb Result Statistics the West African Examination Council [WAEC] has also published the withheld results statistics of all affected candidates.
2021 WAEC GCE January/February (1st Series) Withheld Result Statistics | 4.84% Results Withheld
According to Head of the Nigeria National Office, WAEC, Mr Patrick Areghan he said the results of Three Hundred and Forty-Seven (347) candidates, representing 4.84% of
the total number of candidates that sat the examination, are being
withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination
malpractice.
The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate Committee of the Council for determination in due course. The Committee’s decisions will be communicated directly to the affected candidates thereafter.
Also, out of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, Six Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-Nine (6,949) candidates, representing 96.97% have their results fully processed and released while Two Hundred and Seventeen (217) candidates, representing 3.03% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors on the part of the candidates.
However, efforts are being made to speedily complete the processing to enable all the affected candidates to get their results fully processed and released, subsequently.
